Mobile Video Extractor is a video editor and converter. It was designed to allow you to cut parts of your video files and then save them to other formats, but you can use it to convert files between different formats as well.
Format support isn't this application's forte. It supports only .VOB, FLV, MPG, WMV, AVI, and MP4 files. And, in my testing, it didn't work with some files I tried. I tested it with an FLV file, which was accepted, but when I started the conversion, it returned an error. Another FLV then worked fine. I had no problems with XVID AVI files.
Once you add a file to the interface, you can set the begin and end positions sliding the bars in the required direction to cut or trim your video. If you simply want to convert a file, leave those untouched. You can play a video with the built-in video player to determine where to trim it.
At the bottom of the screen there are the supported output formats and presets. There are presets for the iPhone, iPod, Sony PSP, and Zune. Some of these profiles can use different codecs for conversion.
The trial version of this app puts a huge, scrolling watermark on your video.
